The "Italian-Arab Friendship Association" and the "Welcome Association Italy" organized a special meeting in Rome focused on the Kingdom of Bahrain, titled "Bahrain: Yesterday and Today." The event was attended by Bahrain's Ambassador, "Dr. Nasser Mohammed Al-Balooshi", and the First Secretary of the embassy, "Sarah Al-Mansoor". The meeting saw notable attendance from journalists, academics, and economic and social figures.

The event began with a welcome speech by Franco Abdelkader Omeich on behalf of the association, who described the meeting as "a continuation of the close cooperation between the association and the Kingdom of Bahrain."

This was followed by a presentation by university student Francesca Bonanno, who spoke about "the evolution of laws in Bahrain to empower women to play a fundamental role in society." Afterward, the First Secretary of the embassy discussed the progress of women's roles in the Kingdom.

Ambassador Al-Balooshi then addressed "the developmental journey of Bahrain and its policy aimed at promoting coexistence among different religions and its pursuit of global security and stability."

He stated, "While the Kingdom strives for just and comprehensive peace in the world, upholding the sovereignty of nations and non-interference in their affairs, it also affirms the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, with two states coexisting."

After answering questions from the audience regarding Bahrain's economy and its policy of good neighborliness, the association presented the ambassador with a commemorative shield at the end of the meeting, in recognition of his role in advancing Italian-Bahraini relations, as a gesture of respect and appreciation for the Kingdom.
